Ballroom Dance Shoes

We Ship Our Dance Shoes to Almost Every Country in the World

Our Ballroom Dance Shoes come in a wide variety of colors. Black is probably the most popular but many women like to wear our flesh-colored shoes for competitions, which helps to extend their leg line. Ballroom dance shoes are lightweight and can have either smooth leather soles or suede soles (called chrome leather). Flats for women generally have a 1 or 1.5 inch heels. Ladies' high-heeled shoes typically have 2 to 3 inch heels.

How good a dance shoe is depends mainly on its sole. A new or a brushed suede sole (chrome leather) is usually considered to have the right amount of traction on a wooden dance floor. Smooth-leather soles can be found on less expensive ballroom dance shoes, these tend to be slightly slippier. If you do a lot of dancing or are involved in competition ballroom dancing, then it is advisable to invest in a good pair of dance shoes.

If you are a competition dancer then buy two pairs of dance shoes, one for practicing and one for your competitions. Practice dance shoes generally have lower heels and increased comfort. Keep your fancier dance shoes for competitions only and they won't wear out nearly so quickly. A cheaper priced dance shoe usually means cheaper quality. This is fine if you are a beginner, but if you dance a lot or take your dancing seriously, pay more for your shoes. It will be worth it for your feet and cheaper on your wallet in the long run.

It is not advisable to wear your ballroom dance shoes outdoors or on the street. The rough surfaces and grit will soon wear them out. Always carry them in a suitable bag and only put them on when you reach your class or the ballroom.
